Limerick FC To Be Honoured At Civic Reception

Limerick FC will be honoured at a very special Civic Reception in City Hall on Thursday evening when the City is recognising sporting excellence over the past year.

Limerick FC are delighted and proud to share the stage with the Irish Women’s Rugby team who are being honoured for their thrilling Six Nations Grand Slam victory earlier this season, and with Richmond RFC who are being honoured for their promotion to the All-Ireland League.

Speaking on the event, Chairman Pat O’Sullivan paid tribute to both clubs. “Firstly, we are delighted and honoured to have our achievements of the past year recognised by the City and thank Mayor Kathleen Leddin for seeing fit to give Sporting Limerick a night of recognition.

“It’s a pleasure to share the honour tonight with The Irish Women’s Rugby team and Richmond Rugby Club who have represented the country and the region so brilliantly, and with such success.

“We see every day the positive impact that Sport can have on the lives of our communities and how important it can be as an outlet for our young people. Having teams to which our young people can look up to is hugely important and we again thank the City and the Mayor for this wonderful recognition.”
